About

  • What are Integrated Care Systems?
  • Why is it important that we are helping ICSs to engage in research and what have our successes been?
  • How is ICS engagement in research relevant to you?

This event is intended for anyone working in research leadership or research delivery roles who want to learn more about the unique opportunities ICSs offer in engaging wider populations in research as well as improving the environment for health and care research in England.

The aim of this event is to share knowledge and increase understanding of the challenges ICSs face and how engaging in research is integral to addressing some of these challenges such as reducing health inequalities and improving service delivery.

Get an inside perspective on how your colleagues from across the Clinical Research Network have been engaging and working in partnership with ICSs over the past 18 months. We also welcome guest speakers from the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS Confederation ICS Network and NHS England who will share their perspectives on how ICSs can maximise the benefits of research. Choose from three parallel learning sessions covering various topics that will support you in your research engagement activities. Finally, listen to our expert panel discussion based on your burning questions and how the future Research Delivery Network can support this new health and care system.

As part of our learning event, we want to highlight best practice examples of research engagement and embedding a research culture across the health and care system. This includes a multitude of provider types and settings including but not limited to hospitals, care homes, GP practices, schools and prisons.

Please take the time to have a look at some of the posters below which showcase and celebrate examples of how our 15 Local Clinical Research Networks (LCRN) have engaged health and care services across a number of the 42 Integrated Care Systems.
